Natural Light Kid Portraits ( Novi, MI Photographer)

So anyone who has followed my work for the past 4 years knows that my favorite model is my beautiful niece, Melanie. I have been photographing her since she was a small child and its fun to watch her grow up. And that she is.
We had half an hour to goof around with an impromptu photo session last week and this is what we came up with.
She loves flaunting accessories and lip gloss at this age, but who can blame her, really?

I can’t believe school is starting next week….. I will miss the long summer days and beautiful warm light.
Hope you’re all ready for September! I have a few High School Senior shoots to show you and wedding preview coming up soon. Oh- and yes, I am still working on that new website of mine. It will be ready in less than two weeks.
I just love teeny tiny extra precious little baby girls and boys. Lucky me- my job involves spending time with them. Awwwww. Here is a little sneak peek at my most recent newborn session:

I met up with three adorable kids for a sibling photoshoot in downtown Northville the other day. I like taking photos of children in ‘urban’ settings…. finding funky doorways, brick walls, steps, alleys and more! Such fun. Have a quick look at some of the results from our mini-session:
