New Photoshoot (Northville, MI Model Photographer)

September 8, 2011 · Adult Portraits, Fantasy (Fairy, etc...), Senior Portraits & Models

Maria is a model I have worked with for quite some time now.  She contacted me to do a few shots of her that were inspired by Marilyn Monroe.  She isn’t a blonde, but so beautiful and we had fun with the concept….

Thanks for stopping by my Blog.  Stay tuned for lots of new upcoming previews.  This month I have a ton going on- and lots of artsy  fun stuff to share with you soon :)

Experimental photography (Michigan Model Photographer)

March 26, 2011 · Adult Portraits, Fantasy (Fairy, etc...)

My Blog has been neglected.  I am not exactly sure why I have been ignoring it, lol, but I am seriously trying my best to stop by and update it once or twice weekly.  Today I am going to share a couple of images from a recent session with model, Maria.  I sort of played around with the post processing of these images in order to give them an artsy finish.   Whenever I get the opportunity to make my images a little less like standard photos and a little more like art, I take it! LOL.  Fun, right?

The first look… I was going for more of a dreamlike/fantasty finish with this one:

And the second look, I used a high contrast black and white to give it a futuristic feel:

I will be sharing more from additional sessions very soon!  stay tuned.

Oh ……… and I just want to wish my sister, Diana, a very happy 30th birthday today!  :)

My Spring workshop (Urban Drama themed) is only about 3 weeks away!  You can still register……. message me for details.  jenlynnalder@aol.com

Winter Snow Shoot (Detroit, MI Model Photographer)

March 4, 2011 · Adult Portraits, Fantasy (Fairy, etc...), Senior Portraits & Models

Yes, it is true that this chilly season has kept me working indoors most of the time this year.  I have been using my studio lighting and having a great time working indoors but, the truth is, I LOVE love love  environmental photography. Being able to showcase different seasons and settings really gives me satisfaction and I feel that it helps keep my work “fresh.”   The problem?  Freezing cold temperatures, wind, and that white stuff piled up on the ground everywhere!!!   It is my least favorite season, there is no hiding it.  BUT, it does have beauty and I promised to get at least ONE shoot in this year that shows I live in a part of the US that has winter half the year…  I am ready to do that today. LOL!  (Nothing like waiting until the last minute, right?) Working in  a foot of snow is not an easy task; however, I believe that the end results can be worthwhile.    Have a look at some of the images from my most recent Winter Portrait session.

I’m not sure if you can tell at this smaller image size but there were small snowflakes falling as we worked by the rushing river (yes, it was freezing cold)…..

She is lovely, right?  I wish her luck in Chicago as she tries to gain the attention of Ford Models this month…..

Evidence that she was wearing  boots (and pants) under that dress, but at like 20 degrees, we still had to work ultra fast and take warming breaks.

Jessica did a great job modeling.  Thanks to Mak Styles for hair and makeup and Flair by Anna for styling.   I love working with such talent! :)

Hope you enjoyed these images.  Stay tuned !  I have some new stuff you won’t want to miss.
