Hi everyone!
Yes, it is true…. I am currently in the process of giving my web site a little updating. It will have a new overall design and many new images come the start of October. My main focus will be on artistic photography and education. I have been on many shoots within the past month dedicated to my new site galleries…..and still have a couple more to go! And, of course, am still taking my regular clients. Plus, I am looking quite forward to shooting a wedding with Tressie Davis on Friday. Yay! :)

I cannot believe I have not posted student lesson work since July! Wow… this Summer seriously slipped right on by. Well, the past 2-3 months I have really been honored to work with an amazing group of students. I work individually with photographers of all levels and help them take their images to the next level. It makes me SO happy to then see them go on and win awards, gain more clients and develop their own unique styles. MUCH of our work is not shown here on my Blog, but I do just want to give you a little glimpse at what we have been up to.

Senior Portrait sessions are a lot of fun for me. I enjoy working with young adults- and every once in awhile one really takes me by surprise. That was the case with Sarah. Not only is she beautiful and bright, but she just had a really cool and unique essence to her.
A vintage, nature , photography loving soul….
Oh… and doesn’t she have great curls and gorgeous green eyes? I could have shot with her all day.
And didn’t she have the cutest outfits? Loved them!

It is going to be held at a beautiful park setting which showcases the amazing Fall colour that us Michigan folks get to enjoy every year. Golden pathways and rusty colored trees, crisp cool air… I can’t wait. There will be both male and female models, a fabulous couple, and some super cute children. The theme is Fall Fashion with a bit of a romantic feel. This workshop is ideal for: children photographers, couple/engagement photographers, model photographers, Senior portrait photographers (because of the young age of the models), creative photographers and anyone who enjoys using location/light/creativity to enhance their photos. If you are looking for help with posing, communication, creative vision and post processing- this event is for YOU. If you want to see what it is like to work on location, hands on, in the field with a team of models, designers, stylists…. for a full day….with other fantastic photographers, you simply won’t want to miss this. Especially for just $350!! If I continue to do workshops next year, the price will be nearly double that… so take advantage of a good deal when you see one. LOL!!!
The workshop also includes a catered lunch and is ideal for local networking and forming new friendships. I am off to work on another creative shoot this evening and looking very forward to it. For those of you who don’t know…. I am in the process of redesigning my website and am eager to add some of the new stuff I have been working on. It will be launched in early October. Stay tuned!
OK, OK, So I have been getting notes and folks out there have been asking…. “how ARE those shoots coming along???” So, I have decided to share a couple quick shots from my recent “project” shoots….
For those of you who DON’T already know, I am currently taking on about 10 creative shoots this month and re-designing my web site so that it represents more of my artistic photography. It’s what I love best. Originally I was hoping to get it all done in about 6 weeks, but now realize that 4 weeks is looking “doable”. (and…. yes, 1 week has already passed) This week I collaborated with a few ultra talented ladies, on 2 different shoots and have been working very hard on creating some fine art images from our session together. Yay!!! But for now, enjoy the little teaser.
This first one was taken before we started the REAL shoot. hehehe.
And here a is tiny glimpse into my shoot today…. without giving away too much.
Stay tuned… I’ll be posting a LOT of new stuff soon. I wish it could be sooner but taking on an extra (2-3) shoots each week… in addition to client sessions + an abundance of online lessons = overload for me. LOL Good thing I love my job !!
