Month: August, 2010
Check it out… another blog post. Yep, that’s right- I am keeping up with things.
Cooler days are rolling in and the sun is setting earlier. And we all know what that means, right? Summer days are coming to an end, again. If you would like to book a portrait session for now or early Fall, I can still make room for you. Send me a note at: jenlynnalder@aol.com or on Facebook. Now is the perfect time!!! I recently had a session with a lovely adult female, Ms. “k”, who hired me because she wanted some current, fun, beautiful images of herself. She brought along lots of outfits and accessories and we pretty much lost track of time on our shoot, LOL. Have a look at a handful of images from our time together at the lovely park area:

Hope you enjoyed the preview! Stay tuned for more upcoming Fun stuff.
Silhouette photography has been a fun way for me to release creative energy this Summer. I love the time I spend on this type of photography and look forward into including more sessions like this into my future workload. Most likely I will share a few more silo sessions with you all. Last week, just a few days after my WHIMSY workshop, I had the chance to meet up with a fabulous couple, Jackie and Matt, at sunset for some romantic images. Have a look at some of the shot from our time together:

And these two are just for fun

Thanks for stopping by everyone! Stay tuned for more session previews
Last weekend was a blast! My Whimsy workshop was held in SE Michigan in a beautiful park area with a team of brilliant models, stylists and some great kids, too. This workshop was full of playful colors, energy and fun. I have been posting images on Facebook but wanted to include an official post here on my Blog as well. If you would like to see more from this workshop, simply view my Lessons & Workshop Gallery (coming soon) or visit my Photography Page on Facebook. I also want to extend a HUGE thanks to all that came out to participate/work with me. It was a hot, but fabulous, experience. lol
SO have a look at some of my favorites….

And, on top of a fabulous team of models + stylists…. this time we also had a little section of the workshop focusing on kids. We used a barnyard setting! Have a look:

Those above cuties are my niece, Mel, and Tressie Davis’s two beautiful little girls- Riley and Alex. It was such a delight to have them with us!
If YOU would like to join me for a workshop…. send me a note at jenlynnalder@aol.com . The next one is going to be held on Saturday, October 9th in SE Michigan. The theme is: Autumn Love. I can’t wait!

So, a couple of days ago I met up with a totally adorable little boy named Brandon. He brought his 12 week old puppy, Hiccup, along with him on the photo shoot. Awwwwwwwwww…. so cute, right?

I also took some of him alone in the beautiful nature setting:

I guess I never really noticed just how many holes were on the ground on these wooded trails. It kept him occupied for a long time, haha! He was searching for chipmunks. So sweet.

Mom gets all the credit for this smile… she was tossing the puppy up and down in the air behind me. LOL!!! I would say it was definitely worth the effort.
And I am going to finish this little preview with one from the garden. He LOVED hanging out in the garden- watching the butterflies and birds.

I am still working on many more adorable images from this session. They will be ready within the week!
Stay tuned for MORE upcoming previews. My WHIMSY workshop is this Sunday- if you want in, I can still register you. Send me a note at: jenlynnalder@aol.com or on Facebook. Also, if you are local and looking for some AMAZING Senior Portraits, scroll down a couple of posts to check out a few fabulous specials- good until August 14th.
Enjoy the day! The weather is beautiful here and I will be hanging out with my nieces and nephews for the rest of the day + a sleepover. Wish me luck
